Using an old WPA poster from the 1920s (below) I found inspiration immediately when I saw the blonde knight in the center. I knew immediately I wanted to do something based around the hero of the Legend of Zelda video game series, Link. At first I was going to have only 1 Link, perhaps the one from Ocarina of Time. However I figured, there's already a ton of art for that so I thought about a game that went a little under the radar, Triforce Heroes, wherein you control 3 Links of different colors. I decided to use that one due to its variety in color.
